Problems Playing MP3 Files In Cars?
I've had this issue in various cars, MP3 players and all sorts. You copy music over in the hope that the player will continue to cycle through the tracks as you're driving along...but it doesn't and only repeats a small number of the thousand or so tunes that you copied over to the USB stick. Annoying eh?
I'm currently diving a Suzuki but I've had the same issue with Ford, Nissan and Hyundai models over the years. I wondered if it was the number at the beginning of the track - EG 02 Pink Floyd - Wish you were here.mp3. The 02 perhaps being the problem. Deleting all the numbers off the stick is worse than watching paint dry.
I tried this: Format a USB stick with FAT, not NTFS. I copied the tracks onto the USB stick (do NOT do this to your original music collection!), then selected all the files (CTRL +A) and pressed the F2 key at the top line of the keyboard. I then typed in the file name 'Music'. All the tracks are renamed Music# (# being a sequential number). All of the artist data still displays correctly in the car but I hope it will now cycle all the tracks.
