Gannets in Scotland ...
I was up in Scotland for 4 days to monitor the 2 nests that I have licences for, as well as some other targets that friends had made me aware of.
Sadly there were no nest sightings on this trip and I couldn't find some of the other species.
I did manage to get to see the gannets at the UK's only inland colony at Troup Head. I've always been drawn to their eyes. They have beautiful faces and heads that give them the appearance of being able to look right into you ... but in a different way to a wolf.
The shots are on http://www.wolf-photography.com/albums/Wolf%20Photography%20-%20Nature%20-%20Gannets/index.html.
Enjoy
