Young Buzzard

I was outside my home today.  It's been over 4 months now since I've gone out apart from getting food locally.  I heard a young buzzard calling  (you can hear one here  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cUFStJb6X2c) and I looked up, searching the sky for it.

When I saw it, I felt elated.  I could just imagine how it was feeling - what it was saying:  'Mum!  Dad!!  I'm flying!!  Look at me!  I'm flying!!!'

Every wing beat creating lift, taking this blessed creature higher and higher into the sky, as Mum and Dad both circled around, keeping a watchful eye on the young raptor.  The sight bought such joy to me.

The next time you're walking around and you hear the sound.  Stop, make sure you're standing somewhere safe and look to the sky.  The young one might be putting on a show for you too.
