Disabled Artists' Network CIC looks to promote creativity as a coping mechanism for disability. We are an independant community project run on public funds and grants.
The Samsung screens are in and still being configured. The current issues being faced are local time settings. We need to be able to run timed schedules, messages etc but for some reason the screens or the servers won't hold the correct time.
This is how the venue looks now. It's taken a huge effort to get this far; many thanks to all the companies and individuals that have helped.
We are now recruiting volunteers to help with formatting the art, poetry, photography and animations for the screens as well as training them on the MagicINFO system. If you would like to volunteer to do a couple of hours of remote work a month, please contact me at the email address below.
We still need to raise £4,000 to finish paying for the screens and then around £6,000 for the IT infrastructure. If you'd like to make a donation, please email me: wolf (at) wolf-photography.com.
If you'd like to see a quick preview of the artists that are lined up for the first digital show (17D), please click
here. Half the spots on exhibition 18D are also taken. As one exhibition fills up, we simply move you on to the next one.
If you're interested in exhibiting with us please read
this document very carefully. It's a very simple process and most of your questions are answered there.
Those of you that contact us stating that you're not disabled, haven't read the document. Some people choose not to be associated with the word 'disabled' while others have been exemplary in the way that they have shared their stories on their statements. Please remember that the statement is as important as the artwork.
The current 'go live' date is 7th July 2021. However, if we manage to sort out the last issues with the screens and times on MagicINFO - we may very well have a June launch date...or earlier.
When the issues with the screens have been addressed, we can look to rolling out a 2 screen version of the exhibition to other venues around the world.
If you're interested in having these exhibitions in your office waiting rooms or health practices (hospitals, mental health out reach teams etc) please get in touch.
